COVID-19 UPDATE

Monday, March 30th, 2020 - WYCO continues to monitor the developing COVID-19 outbreak and subsequent restrictions with the best interest of our community, parents, players and coaches in mind.

As a result of the statewide Stay-at-Home order issued by the State of Kansas over the weekend, WYCO will continue to  honor and abide by the directive and will not be opening for normal operations while the Stay-at-Home order is in place.

All league team activities are currently suspended until further notice. The situation will be re-evaluated on a regular basis, WYCO will adhere to CDC and KDHE recommendations.

Team assignment will continue and our registration deadline will be extended and all additional fees will be waived beginning April 1st.

There are currently NO plans to cancel our spring/summer season, this is subject to change in the future.

Game Information

League Games Begin: Monday, May 18th

League Game Days: Monday thru Saturday

League Game Times

  • Weeknights; 6:00pm/ 7:30pm
  • Saturdays; Beginning at 9:00am

Special Game Rules

  • Regulation Game - 6 innings
  • 1 hour 15 minute game time limit
  • 6 run/ half-inning limit
  • NO lead-offs
  • NO stealing
  • The ball is dead and play will stop when, an infielder has possession of the ball and raises both hands, in fair territory, on the dirt infield surface or an arc marked on the playing field  at a radius of 50ft from the rear of the pitching rubber.
  • Overthrow rule 
    • An overthrow is a throw made on the infield that passes its intended target
    • There will be only 1 overthrow per play
    • In the event of an overthrow, a delayed dead ball will be called
      • Runners may advance only one base, at their own risk
      • The ball will be declared dead by the umpire when play has concluded
      • Runners may not advance on any additional overthrown balls during the delayed dead ball period.

Machine Pitch Rules

  • Pitching machine will be set between 29mph - 34mph
    • Team managers will agree on speed prior to game
  • Batter will receive up to 6 pitches to put the ball in play.
    • IF the 6th pitch is struck foul, the batter will receive 1 additional pitch.
  • IF, in the plate umpire's judgement, a pitch is unhittable the umpire may declare so and that pitch will not be counted against the batter's pitches.
