As our community and country continue to take steps to avoid the mass spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID – 19) we have all had to adapt our lives in unexpected and unprecedented ways. From the cancellation of in-person schooling here in Kansas, to the closure of business and indefinite suspensions of national sports leagues and associations. Several areas of our modern day lives have been affected by this global situation.
Wyandotte County Sports Association (WYCO), as a youth baseball and softball organization and community member will be honoring all federal, state and local guidelines, as it pertains to handling the COVID-19 outbreak.
This will undoubtedly have an effect on our youth baseball and softball leagues for the 2020 Spring/ Summer season, the extent of that effect remains unclear at this time.
As our situation in this country, our state and our community continues to rapidly evolve, WYCO is prepared to make the necessary adjustments and take the appropriate precautions to adhere to and abide by all CDC, KDHE and Wyandotte County Local Health Officer recommendations and guidelines.
WYCO will continue to monitor and evaluate the current situation on a weekly basis and take appropriate action when necessary, our current plan of action is as follows:
WYCO is prepared to, if necessary…
WYCO is not, at this time…
WYCO looks forward to providing youth baseball and softball to our community this year and appreciates your participation, support and patience as we strive to adapt and adjust to these rapidly evolving circumstances.
